March Madness!!

I have to say that Daphne's favorite spot is with her dad!!  Here they are "hanging out" and watching lots of basketball.  If she grows into her feet someday she might get to challenge her dad in a little one on one!!

Tribute to Daphne's Papa

On March 6th, 2009 Erin's dad, Daphne's papa, went home to with with Jesus.  While our hearts are broken that Daphne will not be raised with her papa, our hearts rejoice that the Lord sustained him long enough to see her enter this world.  Papa's last wish was to be here in Washington when Daphne was born.  His determination and love for his granddaughter made it happen and it is a memory that we all will cherish forever.  

Our Treasure is Growing

Our little Treasure is growing up fast.  Daphne had her first trip out of town to California.  She immediately became discontent with her current outfits, went on a shopping spree and started calling us little darlings.  She caught her first cold while she was in California and she is just now starting to recover.  There is nothing quite as painful as seeing your child in pain.  On a brighter note, Daphne has just recently started to smile and there is absolutely nothing like it.  It has quickly become one of the  highlights of our day.

Our First Post

We are blessed!! Look at this angel.  We are filled with thankfulness to our good God for his protection and gift of Daphne Treasure.  She joined our family on Wednesday, January 14th at 7:30 pm.  Her first night on earth was spent in the NICU at Sweedish Hospital do to lung problems, but she has recovered because she is a fighter. She is now strong and healthy.  We are home and enjoying our sweet little girl.
